Sew It Begins
Even I have to soda soak fabric for the week at Art Quilt Tahoe. And before anything else, I'll be sewing tyvek tags to the corner of the yard to identify it from all the hundreds of pieces that will be printed that week. It's an amazing spectacle -- all those great prints. Well, still gotta start with the fabric.

Get Ready, Part 1
Since everyone has to label their fabric before coming to class at Art Quilt Tahoe and the Pacific Northwest Art School, that means I must as well. So, I've got my tyvek labels ready to sew on the corner of my raw fabric. After sewing them on, I'll soda-soak the fabric, dry, and pack the away.

Not Too Early
Some printing classes I teach will need fabric prelabeled and soda soaked. My class in April will need about 75 yards. So, now's the time to get started on that stack. And I need more for ME as well. I'm sewing tyvek squares for that name tag. Fabric is cotton.

Grabbing Tyvek Labels
I've got my fabric ready to be soda-soaked for teaching in Florida. But first I want to sew on a tyvek label -- here I'm using an old post office envelope for priority mail -- that has my name on it. This is my big request to those who will be taking the class. I'm grumpy if they're not labeled!
