I'm circling back to the exhibit "The Art of the Book & Paper" and this illustration used in a book. What intrigues me is the dress -- a collaged image mimicking the shape and function of a dress -- for how I might make fabric to make used in garments. This inspires me to print and to compose with large motifs.

Aftermath
Yesterday was half of a work day, today totally. But I managed to finish a few things on the list. This is a small collage using plastic packaging as the "container". It's by Martha Shermerhorn, and is as clever as it gets. I've got a bunch of these, but this seemed appropriate for this week's start.

Exquisite Corpse
The "Exquisite Corpse" takes many forms; this game via a friend. As the third player, I took their image and recalculated. It's now a page-sized collage, sewn from a print of their image with added material. I've passed a photo print to number 4. Think of trying it with friends -- virtually.

Gallery Check
While doing a little business downtown I popped in to Rochester Contemporary Art Center to see the "Cut/Paste" show that features assembled works. In the small space was a collection of album and disc and tape covers from Carbon 25. These were all fabulous graphics, diverse, and thought provoking. This was one of the covers.
