There's a Louis Kahn designed church a block away from me, and so I swung by to see what was in bloom. I know that the walks around the Columbus College of Art are lovely, but my neighborhood is pretty keen. Plus I'll gonna miss all my peonies, poppies and false indigo. Not the weeds, though.
Contemporary Art Quilter Pat Pauly's random thoughts and excursions made public.

Signing Your Work
Louis Kahn and Warton Esherick together designed and built this building on Esherick's property outside of Philadelphia. Kahn was teaching at the University of Philadelphia at the time, and this inscription is etched in the block construction. It really is that color, and the signature is graphically beautiful. The Esherick site is http://www.whartonesherickmuseum.org/index.html
