A Doll's House

I made this almost 30 years ago when I had small children. Now there are small children again and this is  it's moving day. The grandchildren might like it. Heaven knows it certainly needs to be furnished. Grab the glue!
 

If We Had the Gift of Space

Most homes have walls 8 feet tall, a standard in residential build. This house's walls are 9 1/2 feet high. The expanse makes seeing interior space a different way, not to mention that other matters are framed in a new scale. If we all had space, a chance to dream, what would that mean to our creative outlet?
 

Racing the Sunset

I'm helping out with trimming windows in an old 1844 house. You can see the owner's color trial, but for now my job is to help add heft to the windows. Contemplative work after a week of teaching. I find that one activity feeds the other. And the sunset was a bonus.
 

What I Did On My Day Off

Aside from spending most of the day at the Genesee Valley Quilt Club's meeting (with a rally to quilt well from Genie Barnes) I raked these leaves caught last week in all their glory. As I write, they are down, and out at the curb.

Revealing

The front four windows, if added to the other five, means that I've just two windows left to trim, caulk and paint. I did make August my housework month, but I can't say I've been all that dedicated. Did I mention it's been too hot?

It All Comes Down to Caulk

Part of August was visiting family, other parts were reconnecting with friends who think I'm always away. But my goal for the month is to remove the storm windows, retrim, paint, and shape-up the outside. People can't get paid enough to do this work.
