The Quilts=Art=Quilts show asks those accepted artists for a small quilt they can raffle during the exhibition. I often make one that references my piece that is in the show. Except it's hard for me to do small. This topped out at 36 x 36, so they'll have to make room. And, BTW, it can be yours.

Pack 'Em Up, Head 'Em Out
I've boxed both my work for the Quilts=Art=Quilts exhibit and the Little Blue Garden together to ship over to the Scweinfurth a bit early. Got more packing for Australia (leaving Sunday) and when I'm back will be teaching a print class at Schweinfurth October 23-26. A few spots left!

Hanging On the Wall
Measuring about 24" x 36" this Little Blue Garden is about to get shipped off to the Schweinfurth Art Center to be part of their raffle quilt gallery. It will sit happily with the Blue Garden that is in the show. Feel free to buy a ticket and add to the "jar".

Back on the Design Wall
Quilts=Art=Quilts asks for a donated piece for the exhibition. Thought it would be fun to make a companion work using the similar fabric that is found in the accepted work. So, here is the start of Little Blue Garden.

Staying Home
My plan was to bring "Blue Garden" with me to Australia next month. But this will travel to Auburn, New York for the Quilts=Art=Quilts exhibit at the Schweinfurth Art Center. I'll pack up another, and those who will be with me for the Geelong Fibre Forum will settle for a substitute.

Visiting Friends
A check up on my piece at the Quilts=Art=Quilts show at the Schweinfurth let me know all was good. This show is well thought out for locating the art work, and a delight to see. I saw many that are intriguing, and will return to visit. The show runs in Auburn, NY until January 6, 2019.
