Fun Time is Over

With handwork, I move to the dining table to sew. My incentive is a movie. So this gathering of the blue glass and hydrangeas will have to skedaddle. I'm eager to get the last large work on the longarm, and word has it there is a lineup forming. 
 

A Day for Song

Today was a day to gather and remember a friend who passed away. As part of the musical community, Niki was a strong and steadfast soul that showed how to persevere, always without complaint. We sang songs, shared stories, and devoured the cake I brought. 
 

Party Offering

I choose to spend my birthday at a potluck and concert with friend in the singing group. So, I made cupcakes and tried my hand at piping decorations. It's difficult to get right, but fun fun fun to try. Here are a few that made it tonight for my outing. Thanks for the wishes, I know you are out there!

 

Full Moon

A find on my neighborhood walk from the "free table". And round, no less. This I will use as a prototype for an arrangement for a hanging wreath. And besides, my ability to capture a full moon is low.

 

Stocking Stuff

It has to be at least 25 years since I made these for my relatives. But it's been a request to add two more for a nephew and his son. So, these took my Sunday. Hope they like them. Mail tomorrow.

We Called It Pathetic

Cookies for the sake of cookies. That's what we did, with no exception for perfection. Maybe that is what decorating should be -- spontaneous, fun, for the moment. My reaction to life as we know it.
