Sun Catchers
At Bandelier National Park, in New Mexico, this was the outdoor teaching place. The stretched fabric was the perfect foil to the relentless sun. I just found my box of sunbrella fabric, and might just take a lesson on what to do with it.

Resist Temptation
A walk through Bandelier National Park in New Mexico takes one by groups of collected shards. We were instructed to leave artifacts alone, but someone (well, many, actually) left them in the open for all to see. The striped lines are painted, and many were similar This craft still echoes what was the traditional pot from 1300. Or 1400.

Enormity of the Landscape
I left my shadow next to that path. The slit in the rock, walked on for centuries, was the way up to the mesa, past the cave dwellings, and down the back side. The view was enormous, and there is no way I can show that.

Stranger Things I Have Seen

Abiquiu's "The White Place"
Standing for miles is a white stretch of eroded "pillars" in the New Mexico landscape. It was a favorite place for Georgia O'Keeffe to paint. I walked to it today, and could only think about that church I saw yesterday. Same massive form.
