Challenges for Us All

A gift from a friend who was staying with me while part of the Art in the Garden this weekend at Sonnenberg. A weaver, she is part of a national group that poses challenges each year. This weave and coloration was in response to a city building's sun and shadow. Lovely.

Fair Weather Fair

Arts in the Garden at Sonnenberg in Canandaigua means white booths all in a row, hoping the rain holds for the crowd. It did, was lovely, and I managed to purchase needed items. Great fiber work in baskets and weavings. It's on again tomorrow, but I'll be back working on the house.

Glass and Gold

Olivia Kim explained that her glass head was made with gold that shared the same ability for light reflectivity as the glass. Or, that is how I remember it. I admit to not paying attention, to just be in awe that the process was so complex, and the art so appealing. This at Sonnenberg Arts in the Garden.

Closing Time

The end of a lovely, albeit hot and stormy day, at the Art in the Garden at Sonnenberg  Gardens today. I was one of four judges, and saw each of the 102 artists. The tents are closed for the night, and tomorrow will reopen with to do it all again.
