You Know You Want to Be There

Hudson River Valley Art Workshops (www.artworkshops.com/) is where I'll be June 16 - 22.  It's one of my favorite places to print (relaxing, roomy, great food) with Big and Bold Prints. Consider joining me there. You can even know nothing about printing and come away with great fabric. Really.

Finished and Hung Up

It's always a good day to add new work. I'm calling this Spring Cleanup because instead of raking the garden (getting it ready for summer) I finished this. Here's another shot. And I'll show how to print like this at the Hudson River Valley Workshop retreat in June 17-21. The only one with openings!

Hudson River Valley Workshops

If you are hankering to print whole cloth designs, join me June at the Hudson River Valley Workshops in Greenville, New York.  This is one whole yard I printed in Santa Fe, hanging out at my studio. Can you imagine getting this without piecing? https://www.artworkshops.com/workshop/go-big-go-bold-prints-galore-with-pat-pauly/

This Year's Live Printing Classes

There are two places to print with me in the lower 48 states this year, one is east, one west. I love both the Hudson River (peaceful, great food, work at your leisure night and day) and Lake Tahoe (lots of friends around, fabulous space, other classes for inspiration) for printing. You might too!

The Joy of Printing

It takes a few days to understand the limits and possibilities of using thickened dye to print. But then, wow. This is made in one go, just adding and adding, until Ann walks it out to the clothesline. The she'll go back and do it all again. Joy.

Sturgeon Moon Missed

I'm a few days late posting the Sturgeon Moon, and a super moon at that. You'll have to imagine this part of my three yards of blue polka dots as the fill in for that night's wonder. Thursday was a long day of printing, and most of the class worked full into the night. Moon's fault, I imagine.

Free Art Library

The Free Art Library thing is new to me. But Greenville Arms, the Inn that hosts the Hudson River Valley Art Workshops, has one with art from me! It's hard to see my three additions, but I got a snap before I "installed" them. I wonder how many of these Free Art Libraries there are?

Low Tech

If this was a Zoom-based class, these would be a PowerPoint lecture. But given the lovely grounds at Greenville Arms and the Hudson River Valley Art Workshop space, we had all the outdoors to use. Topic? Composition, motif, scale. What a great class and place to be.

Hudson River Did You Say?

Although I've settled in at Quilting By the Lake, I'm looking ahead to my last eastern U.S. venue for this year. I've got a great class at Hudson River Valley Workshops set for August 7-13, 2022. It is delightful, and if you are looking for a class with  class, that's the spot. Printing, of course. I'll teach you all I know!
