Summer's Best

Sunday was a trip to visit friend's who grow lots of things. Wheat, potatoes, grapes, apricots, and more. I was gifted a bouquet of gladiolas. Nothing more elegant than these.

The Other Side of the Tracks

Tonight was a brilliant clear night, and one where I took advantage of the talent around. It was Tunes by the Tracks night and we sat in the cool air and listened to fabulous playing. What summer should be.

Why We Love Light

This hot summer has cooled today, a welcome change. I followed the sunlight around my living room's east, south, and west windows. Then I remembered why summer shadows were so fluid. The leaves, of course, shapes melting together in lovely blobs.

Perfect Dye Studio Summer Style

Back yard studio setup includes (foreground) plastic table, rollers for dye, containers; (middle ground) clothesline with pins; and (background) hammock for waiting for the fabric to dry. Also helps to have a cool drink on hand.
