Home Again

The time stamp on this post is Monday, as my flight did indeed land, but at 2:45 in the morning. I started in San Francisco at 70 degrees and landed in Rochester with snow. It's a sweet landscape, transient for now, hiding the leaves I'll rake and a garden to clear. So happy to be home, and happy to have had AQT.

Back Home

Tonight I had the privilege of speaking with the NY Metro Modern Quilt Guild on "Challenge". I landed home 2 AM, got some sleep, unpacked, got new food, did errands, and turned my attention to polishing up tonight's lecture. This is me cooling off under the sliver of the moon and my back deck. So happy!

Back Home

Don't look too hard, it's in need of a good weed. I did manage Saturday to mow the lawn before the days of rain. And I've made note for what to prune, to pull, to dig out. It may wait. Today the splint came off of my injured finger and I'm not quite ready to tackle the garden. Soon.

Home Sweet Home

Out for three and a half weeks was certainly fun, surprising, and fulfilling. And I'm glad to be back home. No, it's not the beauty of Santa Barbara, the temperate warmth of San Diego, or the brilliant sun of Baltimore, but now the wintery chill of Rochester. And home.

Home Just Keeps On

The blooms didn't wait for me to return, they plantings here are getting copious amounts of rain. We've yet to have the brown grass, so my first order of business was to cut the grass. I love how everything is green, and these pale pink althea have become a favorite.

The View From Where I Sit

Untidied and as is, I've got a hunk of fabric printed years ago draped over a bench. Part of the undecided life of furnishing the house. Which is fine. Who wants to be finished?
