Home Again Work

I've finally cracked open the box with my demo prints from San Diego. Added to the January class, this pile of unfinished work is pretty darn high. So, I spent printing time adding to these. The water heater is cranked up, the washer humming away. My goal is to post new yards to my store this weekend. 
 

Squaring Up

Trimming a large quilt is a task. I used the long straight ruler to start one side, then took the perpendicular side off of that line. My large aluminum T-square is sold for drywall work, but I'm combining it with the straight to get a 90 degree edge. Also using the table edge to set the T-square.
 

Quilt Ignoring Me

I've a finished quilt -- well almost finished -- that needs threads buried and spot checked. I keep walking by it, and it's getting louder and louder. Birthday present was a set of self-threading needles. Must be the sign to get to this task. Thanks, Nancy.

Finishing to Start

My travels are ending or a while, so it's time to finish the work I'd left. I was asked once how to start new work. I think it's best to not end. To have something waiting for you, so you can take up where you left off, instead of starting new.

Hand Me the Visine

The back of this latest quilt gets some wild and graphic commercial fabric. I've certainly got loads of commercial stuff, and this is so easy to hand sew, it makes a perfect candidate to use. I always say -- use fabric you love for the back , it's often seen.

Finish, Hang and Ship

I am part of the mini-lecture lineup for AQS Des Moines on Wednesday night. My topic is "Finish, Hang and Ship (like a pro)." Which I just did for sending off quilts for the Schweinfurth's Quilts=Art=Quilts. They're early; my "staff" will send them out at the appropriate time. Thanks, Nancy!
