Two to a Good Home

These were printed and shown at RIT's Shop One on the campus. Later, they were part of my studio sales items. A lovely woman who had seen them years ago and remembered them found me and asked about them. I'd put them in a safe space, and we reconnected. So, finally to the long-time admirer.

Square Delights

A friend commisioned a few pillows from the studio. I'd thought a botanical theme would fit her personality, as well as a 'heavy on the purple' scheme. I'll visit her tomorrow and hope that a couple will be suitable. They were fun, regardless.

Pillow Talk

A friend requested some pillows, so I've started this set. They take a bit of time, as I'll print one side, let set and dry, then flip to print the other. These are cotton with a side zip.

Plump the Pillows

First Friday will be tomorrow, and the stack of pillows is rearranged. I'll tidy just enough to say I did. But I've got some work to do, so no promises. Happy to get the quilt off the longarm, eager to get to another.

Off to the Gallery Store

The Memorial Art Gallery's store was low on my printed pillows, so I took these over to add to their collection. It's a great place to see regional art from every field in the arts. I'm happy to hold up some of the fiber end.

Pillows To Go

Here's my rough draft for how to display these five pillows. There is a holiday sale (early?) at Studio 402 at the Anderson Alley building. Best time to go is during their First Friday night on November 6. I won't be there, just my pillows. Now you know what else I've been up to!

Checking on Friends

While exchanging works and leaving more pillows at Shop One on the RIT campus, I visited pillows I left a few months back. I'd forgotten how much I loved them. And I don't know if I could reproduce this print again. Guess that's why they're one of a kind.

Production

A stack of printed pillows waits for me to get them to Shop One on the Rochester Institute of Technology campus. But not till next week. There's a few other things ahead in the queue. Like adding more to the website store. First is first.

Pillow Girl

We've all heard of "My Pillow" so there's mine. These are heading out to Shop One 2 at RIT in a week or so in time for this summer's Jazz Festival. I've laid in the textures for now, and will add more layers. Printing fun, yes.

Pillow, Pillow, Pillow

My handprinted 20" square pillows are things I make when I print yards. They are fun, but take extra care to print "clean" without fingerprints, smudges, goofs. I sell these, usually when I travel. But I'll have to think of other ways to do that. Meanwhile, here ya' go.

Pillows Ready to Go

Since the Memorial Art Gallery has sold out of my pillows (and that's a good thing) I'm in the process of making more. Just need tags, then they are out the door!

Product Placement

Look beyond the pillows in my booth to see the one far away. No, that pillow in the background did not escape to visit another artist's booth. I added that pillow to spice up a friend's booth. And it did get noticed. Spread the love, perhaps.
