On a Roll

My silk scarves have one selvage end, the other is torn, so I will roll that edge and stitch. The little needle guide helps me inch along.

Would It Fit?

One of these days, when I am confident in my garment fitting skills, I may use this silk to make a top. I haven't come across the perfect pattern, but this tells me a yard ought to do it.

On The Line

I'm hand washing and line drying the silk that I've printed. The pattern of the leaves made me stop and see the breaks in the print. Out of the frame is the chair, red, to match the red blob.

Hanging Out

These prints on silk and linen were keeping me company this week, until they caught the eye of some passerby and went home with them. So much for falling in love and hoping for permanence. I've got a couple of silk pieces left to hang out with till Friday at QBL.

Back on the Table

I've got just enough space to run a two yard length of silk on my padded table to do some printing and direct painting on this silk. It's different than cotton, as the silk slips around and is way flimsy, but I've gotten results that I like. This will be at QBL next week when I am vending,
