I printed in studio 301 today, the one that was set up for last week's printapalooza. And totally forgot to take photos. At home I landed, clicked on the fire, and did all I could to not fall asleep. How does time fly so fast? This is my only photo for the day. Promise tomorrow will be documented.

Back Home
Don't look too hard, it's in need of a good weed. I did manage Saturday to mow the lawn before the days of rain. And I've made note for what to prune, to pull, to dig out. It may wait. Today the splint came off of my injured finger and I'm not quite ready to tackle the garden. Soon.

Home Sweet Home
Out for three and a half weeks was certainly fun, surprising, and fulfilling. And I'm glad to be back home. No, it's not the beauty of Santa Barbara, the temperate warmth of San Diego, or the brilliant sun of Baltimore, but now the wintery chill of Rochester. And home.

Day of Rest
..and packing. I'm resting up for the flights ahead of me tomorrow, and I'll miss the warmth of the fire, but I'm promised warm days, sun, and some new museums to visit. All fun, even during work, and I'll still have plenty of winter to return to later next month.

Home Stretch
I'll be traveling for my last out of town trip for this year. By my return there should have been our first frost, and the last of the falling leaves. What keeps me grounded is that I have a great and welcoming life here, and returning is always a joy. I'll take a last look at this garden before I board my flight.

Back Home
While I was away, the exhibit that had "Duck's Breath" on view ended. Thanks to a friend, it is safely home again. I so love this little work, for its clarity, spareness, and directness. I'll have to make a companion -- but bigger!

Maintenance
I tackled the garden today. After being away for more than two weeks the garden just kept on being its growing spectacle. But it needed weeding and planting. And I needed to get outside and tend to home. And plant my feet back in home turf.
