Birthday Flowers

We've had a winter of show and getting fresh flowers for my birthday is always a treat, if for no other reason than we need that dose of spring-to-come-soon feeling. I topped the day with a jazz performance in a small theater setting. Good way to usher in the next year.
 

Golden Golden Birthday 2/25/25

I've no evidence of well wishes or cakes consumed, just work on the design wall. I was able to get out to the studio today to work. It's nearly finished, mostly resolved. I loved my day to do what I wanted and know that people thought about, me and let me know. And I know the year ahead is going to be fine.
 

Party Offering

I choose to spend my birthday at a potluck and concert with friend in the singing group. So, I made cupcakes and tried my hand at piping decorations. It's difficult to get right, but fun fun fun to try. Here are a few that made it tonight for my outing. Thanks for the wishes, I know you are out there!

 

Birthday Pearls

Once a year I mark the day. It's never the same, sometimes it's the pits, sometimes I wear pearls. This birthday was modest, so the only pearls were the ones we  made in chalk. There's a gap in our ages, but we enjoy the same things. 
 

Happy Day

I was a bit distracted, and got older (calendar wise). There was some time for a bit of paperwork, but mostly a day to remember and be remembered. I'll say this birthday was unusual in that I went nowhere, saw no one, but was in touch with people all over the world. Thanks for remembering me.
 

Getting Philosophical

Reaching the ripe age where it is superfluous to add more candles, and best to just multiply a large number times 2, should give pause for reflection. But that would not be me, or at least, not publicly. So, let's just say, I had a wonderful little birthday, and intend to continue to celebrate for at least another week.

February is Gifting Month

I turn older in February, and this justified a gift I'd had in mind. It's the glowing baubles I'm wearing, and I convinced my daughters that they could share the purchase. Clever, no? Now to show them off.

Birthday Cake

I like to stretch out my birthday for as long as possible. So, visiting friends calls for day #2 and a proper cake. Last night (and the night before that) was Rum Raisin ice cream, my go-to for any event. Looking forward to tomorrow.
