Where I'll Be

This week is a nine day Rochester International Music Festival. I'm trying to get in as much as I can. This is Kilborn Hall, part of the Eastman School of Music. Each venue is choice, but this is my fav. All the talent knocks you out. Lucky me.

Jazz Fest

The Rochester International Jazz Festival concludes tonight. I made it to nine consecutive nights of superb performances. All with fantastic company -- some I met for the first time. Amiable crowd, packed houses, great venues. Next year, I'll do it again. Don't look for me at the end of June 2024.

A Walk Downtown

The Rochester International Jazz Festival is now day 4, and my walk was after the tremendous downpour. Most of the action was centered on the street that links the Eastman Theater and the Eastman School of Music. Loads enough people; they'll be back tomorrow. Me too.

On Tour

In a few weeks I'll hit the road for a workshop in Washington. Perhaps I should acquire a tour bus, like this one. Can you just see a design wall, cutting table with a handy machine? Anything's possible. This bus was for the performers in the Jazz Festival here tonight, parked at the back of Eastman Theater.

Pillow Girl

We've all heard of "My Pillow" so there's mine. These are heading out to Shop One 2 at RIT in a week or so in time for this summer's Jazz Festival. I've laid in the textures for now, and will add more layers. Printing fun, yes.

Night Out

I spent the day at work (slogging dye left and right) and was due a treat. The Rochester International Jazz Festival is this week and I took in a concert that was out of this world. Street food, Abbott's custard, and a lovely night. Now I'm ready to go back to work tomorrow.
