References

Today was the final day for "No Time to Be Tame" exhibit in Clifton Springs, NY. The three person show was one of the nicest I've be involved with. Upstairs is a reading library with reference books chosen to compliment the current exhibit. I give you Ellsworth Kelly's image with my work on the wall.

Quilts=Art=Quilts

The Schweinfurth Art Center's Quilts=Art=Quilts exhibition, now for over 40 years, opened last night. My work Congregation was part of the offering, and I'm in great company. It's always helpful to see how it was placed, what works are around it (that work with or against it) and the flow of the exhibition.

Trimmed and Quilt Ready

The largest graphic, and most important element is the cluster of dark circles, and I wanted them to be different than any other part of this composition. The rest -- the three quarters that circle around it -- mush together in vaguely the same weight. This is now quilt ready.

Mini Me

Quilt=Art=Quilt has accepted my work "Congregation" for its next exhibition this November. I've often added a small quilt for their raffle, and frequently this small work mimics the larger one. On the wall I've gathered some prints that will work, but I've got to assemble this soon.

Long Journey Home

I sent a piece to Quilt National in 2020, where it waited until 2021 to be shown. It traveled after the initial Athens, Ohio show (though I didn't keep track) and just today it returned home. That's a long time to be gone, no matter what. I've hung it here, and we'll be talking tonight on its travels.

Quilt National Talk

Quilt National asked me to provide a short video for talking about my work. They asked everyone in the show, just search youtube for more. So, here I am with the help of QN edits. Enjoy!

Quilt National '21

Congregation, my work in Quilt National '21, is at right, next to Betty Busby's work, and guarded by Paula Kovarik's work in front. I know it's in good company. Thanks to Jeanne Marklin for the photo. Wish I could've been there for the opening.
