Poster Child

I'm using a poster where I've cut a 12" x 12" window to help me edit where to land the square. After a few experimentations, I think I'll keep this one for the SAQA auction. Now to finish and on to quilting.

Auction Coming Up

My SAQA Journal came today. In the article about the upcoming SAQA auction, my 12"x12" piece was featured, just after Carol Leitch, and next to Jodi Scaltreto's and Lisa Jenni's works. Looks like the bidding starts September 18. You can check it out at saqa.com/auction

12 x 12 for SAQA's Auction

Down to the wire, that's for sure. I've made a small quilt -- just 12" x 12" -- for the Studio Art Quilt Associates annual auction. Need to get it bound, finished, and in the mail tomorrow to meet that June 1 deadline. Then wait for the online auction to see where it goes....

Full Moon, Full House

Ruth White was the voice of SAQA tonight at the QBL quilt show, spreading the word about the group that represents art quilters world wide. She also brought my 2008 12 x 12 auction quilt (that she owns) called "Little Big Red." It was a delight to see both Ruth and my quilt.

SAQA Foot Square

Ruth White shows her work-in-progress for the SAQA One-Foot-Square auction later this year. The three dimensional piece is uber quilted, and she is fussing with the foam. This from last night's show and tell in Ithaca, New York.

SAQA Square in the Mail

Applied seat of the pants to seat of the chair and finished this tonight. Now I will pop it in the mail for the SAQA benefit auction. Oh, wait. I need a name. Not for the auction, but so that I can remember it.

SAQA Sketch

That annual SAQA auction asks that we get our donation of a 12" x 12" work to them by June 1. Guess it is time to get going. Here is the start.
