Today opened the exhibit at the Little Theater Cafe. We had David Russell and his autoharp, lots of cookies, nibbles, a few bottles of wine, and of course wonderful friends who joined us on a perfectly sunny day. Thanks to the arts community for their support, for showing up and sharing their time.

Gallery Time
Round town are many galleries, this one with works by Judy Stewart Gohringer. I've gotten to know her work, and admire the boldness in color, structure, and definition. She's also a friend, and an influence. Finding beauty in other work helps you find it in yours.

Food for the Soul
My mother said "flowers are food for the soul." I'd amend that to include art. This lovely piece is from Judy Gohringer. Now it's part of my office and constant inspiration.

Time for (Someone Else's) Art
My walls are full of my work, but I am a softy for bold graphic color. So, I break down now and again and actually purchase real art. Today I brought home two works by Judy Gohringer. Happy to own more art. Though I may have to build more walls.

First Friday Tour
When Judy Gohringer (of Anderson Alley Studios in Rochester) posted a photo of this, I was so struck with it that I challenged my Glorious Printers at Pro Chem to try this landscape with thickened dyes. Meeting her tonight, I got to see the work close up. Like it even more.
