If It's Monday...

 

...then it's packing day. I'll take four screens and pad them between with batting (for printing a soft surface) and a few stencils and rubbings. I'll land in Colorado Saturday night, ready to start setting up Sunday for a week of printing at Alegre. Very excited, and I think the class is gonna like the week. 

Ahead of the Game

Those suitcases don't get zipped until the morning -- usually -- but it's such a big trip that I couldn't sleep without them being at the ready tomorrow. I've got a 1/4 of the space for my clothes, the rest are quilts that will be in the gallery they've set for me at the Festival of Quilts. If you are there, find me!

 

Packing Day

It took me from sunup to sundown to get two suitcases under the 50 lb. limit, the briefcase and carryon settled with extras, and the extras taken care of. I think my ducks are in a row, we'll see how friendly the skies are tomorrow. 
 

Stuffing Time

I can fit my silkscreens in half of this case. and tools and fabric in the other. Since I'm driving to QSDS, I can load until it gives in. The cases help as they have wheels. A plus. I've got three cases to fit.

 

Packing for Santa Fe

Best way I could remember what I'm sending off ahead of time for my class in Santa Fe is to take a photo. Glue gun, sticks, long handled spoons, apron, gloves, etc. What would I do without that phone camera? My trusty note taker.
 

Door Guards

Like good soldiers, these cases are ready for the action that awaits. Each is ounces away from the top limit of 50 pounds, so I'm looking forward to the return with less weight. In the case, and who knows, in my package as well.
 

Get Ready for the Storm

Next week I'll be in Sisters, Oregon to teach. Which means I've got to figure what I will need for that future. A storm, if you ask me, where I need to predict what and why I pack the items. Now, ask why working virtually is easier. But, I'd miss that vista from Sisters.
 

Packin It In

Most of my day was spent typing class proposals, hours of it, and not so glamorous. So, I'll spare you that graphic, and instead leave you with what I've got blocking the door. Tomorrow's journey to Ohio, with hopes that this wicked wind dies down by morning.
