Full Moon

Supermoon is our treat for this month, and also the last for this year. This detail from a printed piece (now sold from my web store) will give your a year's worth of moon gazing. Enjoy the feast, and farewell to 2025's cast.

Hunter's Moon

The clear sky holds that glorious supermoon still can't be captured by my meager camera lens. So, here is a detail of a piece I've printed. Many who have taken my printing class know this is a monoprint because the screen prints is drawn through.

Scenic Photos

I know, I know. Your Facebook feed is flooded with spectacular photos of the super-blue moon. But sometimes a gal just has to stop and get that gallon of milk and the view is clear and a snap away. So, there. I'll go home and view it from my spot there as well. But this is reality.

The Almost Moon

Last night's almost Supermoon was raring to go. I was out of the city, the sky was clear, and I figured the supermoon day might not give me a chance. So, let's go for two posts on the Blue Moon Supermoon,

Supermoon Stand-In

Tonight was the last supermoon of 2019. We'll have to do with just regular old full moons the rest of the year. But coupled with the beginning of spring, how could you think this was an ordinary day?The blue disc is part of a glass sculpture I saw today at the Imagine Museum in St. Pete's. My fill-in.

Moon Behind the Fence

The moon appears through a chain link fence behind my house, between branches, ivy, and brambles. This piece is now finished. Thought you'd like to see it.

There Seems to Be a Draft

Here's what came about next on the design wall. Not what I planned to work on, but this jumped the line. So, another moon, I see. Must be in the air.

Moon Through the Trees

Here's the finished piece. I fell for someone once under a full moon (doesn't everyone?). But, since it's happening this month, it'll be called "Once in a Blue Moon" for obvious reason.

Back to Backing

One of my favorite things I do in the summer is getting together at a friend's barn to discharge fabric. We have a ball, slop around bleachey things, and I go home with a pile of great "printed" fabric. This is the back of my moonscape quilt, ready to face.

Super Moon

That Super Moon outside will have to be seen through my window, as I'm wimping out from the cold. I'll offer this detail of the piece on the wall today. It'll have many moons, many months, many revolutions enough.

The Best I Can Do

Facebook, Twitter, you name it. They've all better shots of tonight's Supermoon. But this is mine. Moral: work with what you've got. Then make something of it.
