Friends have work at the Geisel Gallery downtown Rochester. The building has a good collection of art placed in and around. Leonard Urso's work "The Prophets" is mighty tall and strong. Wonder what they would predict for our future.

Vested Interest

Melissa Matson was at the Geisel Gallery tonight for the opening, featuring a trio of talent. I was intrigued with her painted paper and sewn vests. This photo does not do it justice. Just go see them, if you are around Rochester's Legacy Tower.

Almost Legal Drinking Age

This strange and wonderful sculpture/bas relief by Wendell Castle is still where it was installed in the World Headquarters for Bausch & Lomb, now the Legacy Tower, twenty years ago. The painted panels are recessed, and the chain-sawn "frame" is coated with a blistery lacquer. Perhaps when the missing lights are lit, it will leave adolescence and be ready to belt one down.

My work awaits the crowd. On view through October, you can visit early or late (7-7) weekdays, or Saturday 10-2. Love seeing the works converse across the room. I just hope they are talking about me.

Blank Canvas

The start for hanging. This time my work will be at the Geisel Gallery at Legacy Tower (formerly the Bausch and Lomb Headquarters) for the month of October. The layout is finished, and for once, I won't have to do the installation. Relax time.
