Lung Cancer

Friend Aafke made this quilt complete with see through (airy?) lungs, made in response to her brother-in-law's disease. It is part of this weekend's quilt show for the Tompkins County Quilt Guild. I'm there selling fabric. Come say hi, then check out this set of lungs.

A Visit to Ithaca

I am often not often able to get to a meeting of my other quilt club, the Tompkins County Quilt Guild, but last night I made it. Many members (me, too) brought their first (or almost first) quilt, and then the last one that they made (or recent, anyhow). What a hoot! This is Nancy Ostman with her work, and hidden is Aafke Steenhuis -- both organizers of the evening.

Make Mine Orange

Celebrating Queen's Day means you wear orange, and if you are Aafke, you wear orange at all times. So, her construction in this weekend's class was, natch, orange leaning. What fun to be around this and all the other works in progress.
