The Finish Line

 

I sign the lower right hand corner in stitching by hand. Since today was gas insert conversion day (!!!), I could do this mindless task. Signing this way -- on the front -- saves me hours of poking around in the files. I never sign the back unless an exhibition asks for it. And then, it's a temporary tag.

Signed and Sealed

Before I boxed up the quilt for Quilt National '23 I signed the front lower corner. I've done this on all my large works since 1981. That one went to Quilt National, too. I hope I can find the way to visit the show come May 2023. 
 

Signing Time Again

Once that signature goes on, so does the year. Many people don't date their pieces, but I continue to do that. And that's all the identification I'll put on this work. It'll stack up for this summer's show.

Sign In Please

This is the first time for signing 2015. I found I'm fond of the printed 7 ounce canvas because it takes the needle so easily. I'll keep that in mind for more pieces.
