Normandy Off on Its Own

I received a lovely image of Normandy in its new home, a permanent place. It is on the left here, as it was seen at the Festival of Quilts early August. An interested buyer loved it, and I brought it home to ship to the west coast. Normandy was a break-through for me, and I'm happy it will be appreciated by others.

Festival of Quilts and a Room for 600

The Festival of Quilts in Birmingham, England, has me lecturing on Thursday, July 31st in the afternoon. Seems it's either the 60 seat auditorium, or the 300 seat auditorium. I'm to take on the 300 room. So, if you need a good laugh, or a chance to get off your feet, come see my lecture. Probably the cost of a cup of tea.

Here's Lotusland

Emerging at about 6' square is Lotusland. It will go with me to Birmingham, England for The Festival of Quilts at the end of July. I've only to add my embroidered signature and it's finished. And just to be special, here is a full frame of it as well.

Trim and Cut

Sundays are quiet at the studio. It's easy to plow through squaring, trimming, and adding the facing. I'm trying to match this work with an existing work's dimensions to hang them back to back on exhibit in Birmingham, England's Festival of Quilts this summer. I'll be teaching, with a lecture, and exhibit.
