Bag Prototype

Thanks to the random algorithm from Instagram, I learned from a random post how to make that flat bottom on a bag. So I've practiced and figured out how to stiffen the fabric, how to trim, how to treat the edges, and weight of the bag. Now to get it made!

That First Quilt

I'm still posting to Instagram (pat_pauly) on the igquiltfest2023 rally, and day 17's prompt is "Quilts of Significance". So, this quilt, purchased in the middle of Michigan on my journey from Minneapolis to Rochester in 1981 means a lot to me. It was the first quilt I owned.

FYI IGquiltfest2023

I've an instagram account -- pat_pauly. For March there is a virtual Instagram quilt fest where people are posting each day from these prompts. You might find them all searching with the hashtag #igquiltfest2023. So, step away from your sewing and surf around instagram for a while.

Thursday Late Again!

Well, blame my forgetfulness on Instagram! I decided to jump on the IGquiltfest2023 challenge and was happily posting to IG, and neglecting my blog. Here's the post from today, and you can follow everyone's post by searching #igquiltfest2023 for the whole kitandcaboodle. Till March 31.

Pit Stop for Art Quilts

Driving straight from Savanah to Hilton Head, we stopped at, what else, an exhibitor of five fiber artists. Color, scenery, line, scenery, realism, and scenery were an element common to all. Glad to have seen this show, and all the best for many more.

Showing Pokey Bolton My Tree

Today I was invited to chat with Pokey Bolton on Instagram. I walked through my foot of snow to live video the world to show my tree with yard bungeed to it. I've done this since Mid-March of 2020. Every day, another yard. So, here is a still. And you don't have to be standing in the snow to enjoy!
