August 23 NEQM Lecture

 

Saturday is days away and I'll be at the New England Quilt Museum to give a lecture on my work, my inspiration, my methods, and why my solo show has the title "Unfolding Years." I'll try convey any part of the talk. I'm showing you 'Devil's Garden' here, just to tease you to  visit the NEQM and me!

In last night's audience for my online lecture to the NYC Metro Modern Quilt Guild was Christine Janove who'd just seen my exhibition at the New England Quilt Museum. She was kind to send me this photo, and now you know what you'll find if you visit. A big room of big quilts! Thank you Christine!
 

When the Book Matches the Art

Wendy Marks is the RIT University Gallery's director and takes a look at the book I've finished. I've got this on my website in the shop section under Books. You might want one, and it's the easiest way to have one mailed. Twenty color pages, a bit of description, that's it.

 

Bookish Time

I've been working on a little book of my work, and several drafts later, it's now off to be published. I'll let you see what it looks like in the end, and maybe if I can, will add it to my web site store for those who want to feed my ego and get a copy.
 

Last Call

I returned to see the Quilts=Art=Quilts exhibit a couple of weeks back. My piece is in good company, but soon the party breaks up and all the folks (quilts) go home. So, you've got a couple of days to find the show -- check the Schweinfurth's site for times -- and enjoy Contemporary fiber work.
