Quilt Show in Town
Here is my booth piled high with hand dyes, and over 600 quilts behind me for the GVQC quilt festival, It was a lively crowd, and I met some wonderful people. Even some that were artists I have admired all my life. Funny what fate has in store for you.

Ham (it up) After Dinner
Carol Taylor and I (trying to pose like a super model), along with Cynthia England, Sandra Chandler, Nancy Bills, Joyce Blowers, Peg Oppenheimer, and Holice Turnbow, are set to teach at the Genesee Valley Quilt Festival this weekend. After a kick-off dinner, I am packing the boxes of fabric and heading out tomorrow morning to set up. Finally, this weekend (at home base) is here. The show starts Friday.

Finding Stuff
You know you are in trouble when you not only missed the deadline for submitting works, but have only two of the 5 bags filled with what is scheduled to be judged. Did I mention my life is in boxes? Tomorrow is another day, and maybe a reprieve.

The Big Leaf this Sunday
In the midst of this move, I must turn my attention to this week's gathering. The Genesee Valley Quilt Club's Quilt Show is Friday through Sunday out at RIT. All weekend I sell my hand dyed fabric, and Sunday I teach "The Big Leaf". It promises to be an uber quilt show.

Half of a Kitchen
My trusted friend picked up half of my Ikea kitchen in New Haven, and I met her in Utica to transport it home. This is the fourth Ikea kitchen I will install. Can't wait to assemble.

Scaling Up Life Size
In my design classes, I talk about scaling up, and working large. This is the kitchen wall taped out to see what cabinets will fill the space. Looks like one of my mock-ups for a work in progress. Which is what is it, I guess.

Past Perfect
Back in 1982 we purchased this house, and I planted a bare root, 10" white dogwood. It is now in full bloom, and joined by more spectacular gardens. All thanks to caring and devoted owners. Which is just what one would want to have when you leave behind something you loved. My heartfelt thanks for letting me tour my sweet old house.

Orange You Glad?
The ceiling and walls were orange. Semi gloss, no less. But now they are, well, different. Three coats took care of it, now tomorrow to finish the trim.
