Gather the Coat

Friends took care to grab my pieces that came off exhibit while I was gone. Thanks to Maddy Shoenfeld, the RIT Shop One manager, and organizer of the Beyond Fashion show, for holding on to my coat.  Before it was whisked away, she took a turn trying it on. We loved the pocket, and yes, there needs to be two.
 

Installation Day at RIT

The University Gallery at the Rochester Institute of Technology is hosting my work in an exhibition till October 7. It's a grand space, comparable to the height and volume of major museums. we've set out the show and are starting to hang the works.

 

Checking In

Yesterday I got in a quick visit to RIT and Shop One. A piece I've there is a whole cloth print that seems content to share space with other works. This gallery shop on the campus has a range from fine art to fine craft. And it was hopping when I visited. All good.
 

New and Just Hung Up

Replacing the piece that sold through Shop One at RIT is "Storms A Brewin'" which is apt for this April. Yesterday I saw snow, today brilliant sun. Happy to have this available to be seen, always important for work -- to be seen! 
 

New at Shop One RIT

The trendsetting Shop One was established in the 70s in downtown Rochester. It's been recreated on the RIT campus as Shop One, and carries a top notch selection of high craft, fine art, and fabulous industrial design. Today I left four more scarves, and one quilt. Pillows Printed and Plumped

 Off they go to RIT Shop 1 for the spring collection of art and high craft on the RIT campus. I've got a few on my web site, but now more here for real squeezing. The bench stays home with me.

Almost Finished

Of six scarves I've printed, I've gotten five sewn and ready to go. That'll be it for tonight, tomorrow is another day.
