The Art of the Book & Paper

The opening of the exhibition of "The Art of the Book & Paper" at the Rochester Public Library had over 100 works on view. I must return to get a better look, but here are a few snippets. It was fabulously overwhelming, and the craft and artistry is superb. More ideas for more ideas.
 

Book Art

Carol Acquilano's book "Winter Trees" is part of the Art of the Book now at the Rochester Public Library. These graphic forms, each a separate aquatint, are just so beautiful, so dynamic, so strong. Not the best photo, you'll have to trust that this is just one great and inspiring example from the show.

Revisit a Book

I've added another work from the exhibit at the Rundel Library "The Art of the Book" because it is such a wonder in lightness and volume. The scale is large, and there are several works of equal size on view. The show is downtown Rochester, NY until January 9, 2019.
