Main Street Arts in Clifton Springs, NY, runs a Plein Air event each September and I jump at the chance to sit in a field and look straight ahead to paint, have a great lunch with other painters and be part of an exhibit. Here is what I submitted from last year (others were sold) for them to use. Heck, I'm ready to go!

Real Landscape or No
While there was clear roads (no snow), I popped over to Main Street Art Gallery in Clifton Springs, NY to check out a painting exhibit by Bradley Butler. This large one had me wanting to make it -- but in thickened dyes. The effects he could do with paint produced moody and magical images.

References
Today was the final day for "No Time to Be Tame" exhibit in Clifton Springs, NY. The three person show was one of the nicest I've be involved with. Upstairs is a reading library with reference books chosen to compliment the current exhibit. I give you Ellsworth Kelly's image with my work on the wall.

Broadcast News
The Main Street Arts Gallery has a talk among the gallery director Bradley Butler and the artists who are in the exhibition "No Time to Be Tame" that Bradley organized. It's thought provoking, and available on YouTube. Here you go: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=irGJDj_N128

Show Opens
Three of four of my works are in a group of three show at Main Street Arts Gallery in Clifton Springs, New York. They are joined by ceramics artist Johanna Poag and artist Werner Sun. Both had a unique art presentation, and the synergy was wonderful. It's up till September 4.

Art Business
Brad Butler at RIT teaches a course in Business Art. His sharp class met today at my show to talk "shop," though mostly it was me talking about being a professional in the arts field. You're looking at metal, furniture, and painting artists here, nice enough to listen to me talk. Thank you, RIT futures.

Busman's Holiday
Yes, four today. Yesterday was a gorgeous early fall day, perfect for a Plein Air festival. Just under 50 artists overcame Clifton Springs, hosted by Main Street Arts. Not having painted in 40 years was no matter. Here's my view, my set up, displayed in the show, and the crowd. I had a ball.

Gallery Walk
Clifton Springs, New York, has a sweet gallery "Main Street Art Gallery" where I stopped tonight to revisit. And I'm glad I saw Susan Huggins Leopard's work about her grandmother. The collage of prints shows the strength of repeating images and layers of images. I like to do that myself.

Gallery Night
Main Street Gallery is active and attractive. Tonight's opening featured some of my favorites, and some newly discovered. This is my exit photo, shot from the sidewalk. It can't describe the diversity and grace that some of these works have. If you're in Clifton Springs, New York, visit.

Journal Keeping
Main Street Arts, a gallery in Clifton Springs, New York, has a talent for showcasing unusual artists' works. An exhibit on sketchbooks has a shelf that you can (while wearing white gloves) look through along with descriptive arrow markers. I'm not a journal maker, but I appreciate those that are.

Friends at the Gallery
It was an opening last night at Main Street Arts Gallery in Clifton Springs for an invitational print show. I went to see how six artists use printing to compose and transform. These women took it all in, and confirm looking at art is better when you can trade notes with a friend.
