Full Moon for December

Twilight yields the full moon, not as spectacular as viewed naturally, but capturable. I returned from the studio with little success on the thermofax prints as my machine would no longer work to burn the film. And we tried every setting a variable. But, even if it worked, it is still a small graphic size.

It's a Mess to Start

Two former RIT students are visiting my studio tomorrow to try out my thermofax process. I've had the equipment for years and have not used it much. I'm hoping to explore the technique more. So, the mess starts, and we'll see what we make of it. Let you all know.

Try a Little Thermofax

With a piece of indigo printed fabric as the base, I've printed a thermofax image a few times using fabric paint. Just experimenting now, but I've wanted to get myself acquainted with my thermo machine. Need to do more.

Stamping Your Heart Out

Last year visiting Pro Chem I took home some cute Indian stamps. I've tried them out using transparent textile dye. The large blue letterforms are printed with a thermofax screen I made. Just fooling around!

New Toy

A second-hand termofax machine with a toner copier came my way, and I finally got to try it out. With some graphite pencils I drew some leaves and quickly made a screen. This is printed on paper but I can see where I will use the screens on fabric. New toys!
