Taking Care of Fabrics

I finally got around to loading more printed yards of my fabric yesterday to my website shop. This is what I start my photo shoot with -- so that I can track the pieces. I think this means I've put up 451 pieces on the site. I think. Who can keep a list? Ha!
 

Just Hung Up

Another whole cloth hung up and ready to join the growing group of printed pieces. It's 42 x 42. Still without a name, but that will appear at some point. On to the next.
 

Family Portrait

Titles come in my head as things gel. This piece went through many versions, but always with groups of people in mind. I've finished the top, now it'll queue for the longarm. All the fabric I made -- printed, monoprinted, scraped, rolled, screened --  all the stuff I teach in my print class.

Using Prints

Small changes, but I know what I'm looking to do. I  know I've got a tangle of prints here, and I do need to give them some place to be, to breathe. It's only the beginning.

Keepers

I'm stacking up prints to travel with me to Washington and Oregon where I'll be teaching in early July. But this one won't go with. It speaks to me in a demanding way.

Stamping Your Heart Out

Last year visiting Pro Chem I took home some cute Indian stamps. I've tried them out using transparent textile dye. The large blue letterforms are printed with a thermofax screen I made. Just fooling around!

Wash Out, Iron Up, Stack, Repeat

More fabric processed and ready to add to the pile that will go out to the Lake to Lake Quilt Show this weekend. I've got these ready, and more scarves as well. More to make, too. The show is in Geneva, New York at the Geneva Community Center Saturday and Sunday.
