Print Studio

I had a request for a 'circle' scarf, so I had to get myself in the wet studio and do some work. She choose this one, which I almost kept for myself, but glad I didn't. I'd like to hold all of them, in fact. There are more on the website store, and I'll bring some with me to Art Quilt Midwest at the end of the month.
 

Scarf VS Shirt

I've two one yard pieces of crepe di chine that were tagged for scarves, but wouldn't it be fun to use as a shirt? Lord knows I've a few more things to get finished before I try more garments, but I can maybe move this up the list a bit, can't I?
 

That Gray Thing

 

I was asked to create a scarf in grays. Not my usual, as you know, but I do love a challenge. So, using my thickened MX dyes, I tried to print a range of dark to light with just black and paste to thin it down. I might end up liking this.

Scarf Unfolded

My web assistant pointed out that I needed to photograph my scarf from different views if I was to offer it for sale. Here is the circular scarf flattened from its 14" x 70" circumference.That squiggle is a piece of string I used as a rubbing.

Scrarf for the Scarfless

I need to make more of these scarves. Not that it is scarf weather, but because they're so pretty. I print a third width (15 inches or so) and two yards long. Then sew the ends together in a loop. I usually wrap it three times around my neck.

Scarf This Up

I've printed a batch of scarves. They are about 6 feet of crepe de chine silk in a loop. They're beautiful, and I sell them. But since I'm not on the road, you can to find them here, there, or maybe on my web site someday, if you want one.
