Quilting Tools

One of my christmas gifts sat unopened until today. I asked for a laser leveling tool and hadn't bothered till now when I needed to match the existing tile to the new flooring to complete the laundry room's floor. Now that I see it's simple, I'll take it to the new studio and use it to square up large quilts. Can't wait.

Measure Low Tech

To cut fabric for dyeing, I like to measure a generous yard. My table is 36" from the floor, so if I let the fabric touch the floor, add a bit more (maybe a hand's width), I can snip and tear my piece.
