Family Time

It's not often that family members choose to print side by side (literally) and this past week at PNWAS in Coupeville, Washington I had TWO pairs. It was fun to see the banter, the encouragement, the true pride each of the four gave to their mom/daughter and in one case their 'special daughter'. Made a great week!
 

Blowing Off Steam

My grandmother duties are almost done, and we did out best to run around as much as possible. Well, one of us ran. The other savored that ability and reminisced. Which was a fine activity as well. I'll be back home and ready for my date with Joe Cunningham and his virtual Quilt Freedom workshop Saturday.
 

Yesterday

Well, thought if I'd shared over 4,500 posts with you all, my blog family, I would be remiss if i didn't share that this little boy can now be called 'grandson'. So, here you are. Now there are two grandchildren to love. You can all be aunties and uncles if you wish.
 

Pastoral Break

Returning home from visiting family, my route took me up and over the hills of the Finger Lakes and as I started downhill these lovely ladies cam into view. You can just make out a lake far off, that's Canandaigua. We have water, we have green, we have vistas. 
 

Happy Family of Artists

I don't offer the same photo to IG and FB, but this is an exception. It's an amalgam of the friends who were on my three week journey out west. I had a ball --  rain, shine, snow, and power outage. Happy thanks to everyone who shares their family with me. 

 

Diversions

Coexisting with the last virtual workshop was a visit from my daughter and her family. Which meant there was entertaining to do. I've not been to the zoo in years, so this exhibit of lions snoozing on a tour bus, where we could enter the bus, was part of the week. 
 

What Have You in a Size 2?

Small diversion to finish a shirt for the one year old. I was given the shirt months ago, gave it a soda soak, printed it, dyed it, then added a flounce. It waited in the outgoing mail today, then I remembered there was no mail. Ok. Now I'm ahead of myself. 
 

The Other Side of Life

A day's stop in Baltimore to visit my granddaughter, here three weeks old, was the perfect way to return from being the teacher to being the plain ol' me. Thought you'd like to meet her.

Being Rich

So in the bleak days of winter, its nice to reflect on just how great it is to have a family. I know this has nothing to do with art, but its the mood for today. Tomorrow will bring something else, I am sure.
