While there was clear roads (no snow), I popped over to Main Street Art Gallery in Clifton Springs, NY to check out a painting exhibit by Bradley Butler. This large one had me wanting to make it -- but in thickened dyes. The effects he could do with paint produced moody and magical images.
Contemporary Art Quilter Pat Pauly's random thoughts and excursions made public.

Small Things
Today was clean up and list day. Studio 301 got put back in order so that I can start right in Monday. So, cleaning, rearranging, reboot. This evening I stopped to make a carrying case for the group I meet with and the hundreds of name tags. It's funky, but works. I used leftover printed canvas for the material.

Printmaker / Painter / Collage Artist
Nancy Valle's sewn painted canvas piece is in the Arena Group's show at RIT's gallery. I kidded her about cutting up her painting and reconstructing -- only because that's what quilters would do. Then she mentioned she did this in a quilt class. Ha! If she wasn't so good, I could be mad.
