Printing 2023

I've three "away" printing spots, all delightful. July is in Coupeville, Washington. End of August is Madeline Island, Wisconsin; and November is Tahoe, Nevada. Spend a week printing fabric -- you'll never forget it! In person, live. 
 

How It Sketches Out

Technology is certainly there to draw this beautifully, but nothing beats a hand drawn sketch to layout the next workshop. Monday will most likely have me moving the tables around, though it's much easier to move them in my little drawing. Life -- so much more complicated that my 2-d drawing!

 

Time to Untangle

This begins the week where I start to untangle the threads I've got to straighten. One is to nail down some dates for classes. To decide which ones, how long, develop new ones, drop some old. And to get them posted so I (and those who are interested) can plan around them. Tangle is the correct word!
 

The New Big Leaf

The Courthouse Quilters in New Jersey were my workshop today for the New Big Leaf. Such different leaves fell all day long. And I didn't have to rake! My thanks to the CQG for having me, and laughing at the jokes during my lecture. Virtual is fun!

 

Heading Out

Seven days of teaching have flown by, and the experience at QSDS is memorable. If you've never taken yourself to "quilt camp," find one (they're all over) and immerse yourself in your passion. You'll never be the same.

Iowa Slash and Burn Class

Carol gets ready to cut (slash) apart her work and resew (burn) it through the machine in today's workshop in Ames, Iowa. What a great group that filled the room and overran the design boards for this one day look at improvisational quilting. Loved being here for this, and many thanks to all that made it a reality.

Greenville Arms-ful of Talent

I can't say enough about this talented and great group of fiber artists. Carol, Mary, Sue and Jennifer could not be nicer, more fun and relaxing and way-hard working! Greenville Arms meant for me to meet you in a workshop, and the pleasure was certainly mine. Keep "slashing and burning."
