Nancy Wiley's exhibit had one more day to be seen at the Little Cafe, and I took time to get over tonight and take in her paintings. She is both a painter as well as a sculptor, with diverse talents. A fine jazz quartet made it easy to slow down and study the work, and yes, I've picked out what I'd love to have.

Slight of Hand
Off to its forever home, Slight of Hand is in a beautiful home in Buffalo, New York. Part of the exhibition for October 2024 and all things square, I'm certain that it will give joy in it's new installation.

Just Hanging Around
I made a trip over to the Little Theater Cafe where my work is hung with my friend Judy Gohringer's works. It'll be down Tuesday. It's wonderful to see work in different venues -- some are slick, some are dim, some a backdrop for life. I'll pack three to travel to Art Quilt Tahoe, the rest will wait their turn.

On Site Personality
The Little Theater Cafe entrance has a title panel that explains the show's concept. This is not a pristine, white walled gallery, but rather one with personality, with a very different subset of people. It will spark good dialog among people who came for the music, and got visual art in the mix.

High Squareness
Reaching for this to add to the little exhibit this week, but needed a name. I'll have to go with "Hens and Chickens" for this one. Though it's much more! And for what it's worth, there are only two yard fabrics used here.

If Santa Had an Album
Cleverly written songs set to groovy tunes is the annual offering of this group. The seven piece band knows the parts, they don't have to sing them twice, cause they're mostly bawdy and nice. My long overdue 'get out of the studio' evening activity.

Night Out
Last night was the Little Café for live music and light dinner. This café features independent artists throughout the year, each month bringing new art. I can't think of another place that does this in Rochester, so I'm happy to patronize. And happy for the break.

It's Sunday Art Time
The Little Cafe openings are fun and filled with art and artists. And Sunday, cloudy and gloomy? Head to the Little and check out what is happening. Tonight, I'll sew a facing. Today, I'll see some art.

Late Night Art Walk
I wanted to show the installation of my works to my daughter who was passing through town. So, we got a look, noted out favorites, and got back home to rest up for tomorrow. The show is up till Friday night, this July 27 at the Little Theater Cafe in Rochester, NY.

Testing the Band Not
A look at the action a couple of nights ago had the place packed and the band in full swing. My reception for my show (on the walls) is here tomorrow afternoon, 2-4, and though there won't be a band in the corner, I'll have ME and some nibbles. Drinks are around, too. But they're on you.

In Your Face
A sneak peek at my installation for the Little Theater has this large Mummies Merged work at the entrance to the theater. At my house it takes up the wall, here is seems normal sized. It's all about the relationship, I guess. On view till the last Friday in July.

Start the Music
Installed my work at the Little Theater Cafe today. This Rochester theater house has a place for music, food, and walls filled with art. I've taken on July (till the 27th) and the reception is July 8 from 2-4. Cheese is on me!

Getting Ready for July
The Little Theater here in Rochester has a cafe that holds tables of people who catch a bite, grab a wine or coffee, or hang out to hear some great music. And it has a few walls for art shows. And I'm Miss July. Stay tuned.
