Which Row to Sew?

After laying out my squares I need to keep track of which is what. So, I use roman numerals in each upper left corner starting at left and the stacking in that orientation. That way I keep order. Then the rows are assembled. Learned this in the 70s watching Simply Quilts. Or was is the 80s?

  1. I don’t see the Roman numerals, or are they the pins? But in that case it’s one, two, three…three. Is the directions if the pins showing the orientation? Thanks Pat.

    1. The numbers are written in Roman Numerals, so read as 1, 2, 3 and 4. The pins would be in the upper left corner, so I can follow the stack and orientate them on my lap and sew, picking up the next and next as I go.
