Tool Time
Fairport, New York, is the place to find great tools for practically nothing. I had a ball at the Tool Thrift Shop. My finds? A little pair of pliers, a tub of joint compound, and a piece of stone for stamping with thickened dyes. My total -- $3.
Sounds like a fun shopping trip. We have an old timey hardware store a few towns up the hills from us(actually it's in Placerville, CA if you care to go)... now that's fun shopping. I bought chain that had to be cut by a clerk cutting it off the reel. There are old drawers of items and nails in barrels - like when I was a kid. Love that step back in time. Hugs
I hope that there will always be stores around that are that one-of-a-kind. I know that fabric stores are gone missing a lot lately. And the small grocer, the independent shop. Time will tell.
