Coming Out Party
A month or so ago I showed a detail shot of this on the longarm. I have kept it hidden until I knew that I could show it off. So, now, here is the latest of my work -- "What Lies (Within)" for you to decipher.
Thanks, and I actually did most of the layering with screenprinting and monoprinting. The amount of pieces is very small. I was trying to use more large pieces. This is about 71 high x 63 wide.
You always have a piece of fabric in your compositions that fascinates me with its mystery. That little purple horizon on the bottom right of this piece looks like a group of witnesses to the maelstrom above. Love the white space to the left of it too. A precarious balance.
ohhh this is an interesting palette - I love the layered look of it!

ReplyDeletePaula,
ReplyDeleteI love that you see an entirely different story in this. Which is why I try to say very little about what I think. Thanks for taking a look.
