When I printed with my 'strong' turquoise, it was as dark as the mixing blue. The turquoise was the first layer, the blue the second. I got severe lightening being in a cool room, so it did not bind as it could in warmer temp. But this effect of the first layer blocking the second is gooey! You are seeing it washed.

That is a beautiful, if accidental, effect! My studio was hovering around 50-55° for weeks this winter—hard to batch fabric successfully in that temp—but you managed to get something lovely in cold temps!
ReplyDeleteWhen I applied the turquoise is was a dark as the blue, but this resulted. The studio did warm to about 65 degrees, and we were 'in heaven'
