As I was packing, sorting, tossing things today for my trip to Cape Cod and the Cahoon Museum's three day design class, I realized that this piece was a direct descendent of the Within the Frame mentaility. And it can be made square, so I can finish it and put it in the "Be There, Be Square" show in October.
Oh Pat, I just LOVE this one. And I’m fascinated by how you’ve put it together. There is a really interesting mix of sections that are pieced and those that are larger pieces of fabric. I love the way the big circles become such an important motif. And ooh, those fine lines! This looks big to me - 6’ by 6’?
ReplyDeleteJoan, so glad you can see how I put this together. I had a large circle printed yard to use, and that held up through the cuts. The finished size is about 40" or thereabouts. If you find the squares, they are 12" finished.
