I've turned the corner on this piece. The mid-section was fairly muddy, and this is a clearer resting place, a kind of 'eye of the storm' perhaps. I've got little time in the next month, so it will sit and fester awhile. But on return, my hope is that it'll look new. Tomorrow is First Friday, see for yourself.
I'm curious about why you put cool colors on one side and warm colors on the other side, rather than balancing them throughout the piece.
ReplyDeleteGood observation. I don't really think about that, more that there is one side, and then another. So the balance, or imbalance, is between two color fields.
DeleteI love this! I like the contrast of colors, and love the way my eyes get to travel around, catching all the bits and how they are playing with each other!
