Why Wait?

A 1926 advertisement gives us the cost of their fabrics. I'm guessing it's by-the-yard prices. The types of fabrics are lost to me -- PRINTED WITCHERY CREPE, FETE SILK, FASHEEN'S, INDIAN HEAD SUITING, not to mention AMOSKAG RAYONELLE. I'll stick to Test Fabrics cotton PFD #419.

  1. "Indian Head" was a favorite fabric in the late 1950s. As I remember, it was a bit heavier than quilting cotton and had texture from some threads being a bit thicker than others.

    1. I'll bet it was around when I was young. Thanks for the connection.
