On the Wall
Started back spring, this water lily pods are now catching the winter light. I've finally finished the piece, which is split to be a diptych. Nice to have January cleaning make way for new art.
Well, gosh, thank you all for the kind thoughts. I used a photo I had taken of lotus pods, and yes, then made a full scale drawing and broke it into freezer paper templates. Just like "The New Big Leaf" class I teach. Really not that hard, just took a while while I got distracted with other stuff. Again, thanks.
I just love that piece! The colors, the texture...everything.
ReplyDeleteSpectacular Pat!!! Can't wait for your class in May.
ReplyDeleteAWESOME!!!Congratulations and thanks for the inspiration.I need to get to work!

ReplyDeleteDid you make this the freezer paper way you taught in the Big leaf class? I am in love with water lilies.
