Wire Nest
Sewers collect (sometimes) those thread nests. At times, nests are even recorded and talked about. So, when I saw this blob of wire, I naturally thought of all those pulls from the bobbin.
Is this involved in your bathroom renovation?! I look forward to seeing your new work in all your mediums, including tile and wall paint.
