Roll of Fun
Fabric was delivered yesterday -- 100 yards of prepared for dyeing cotton. Already took about 20 yards off and washed it, then I will start to dye it. Think what will become of all that white.
Hi Judy, I know that I have used it unwashed, but if I have the time I send it on through a hot wash. This load I interrupted to toss in a few more, and was surprised by a chemical smell in the half-washed fabric. So, there must be something that was in that fabric, and I will now always try to wash it out before I dye it. It probably does not make a difference, and lord knows I wash it about 4 times after I dye it. I am working with a front loader.
Pat, I am curious why you wash the fabric before dyeing because it is PFD and will accept the dye without washing.
